A subscriber asked Peter to write a song about pirates. Somehow this request cross-connected with Peter's memory of the world's shortest river, the D river in Oregon, which runs between 440 feet and 140 feet in length depending on the tide. So he wrote a sea chantey that starts out silly (se below) and gets even sillier on its way to a bravura ending. Now if only we could get Johnny Depp to perform it...
