For week #14 of the 52/50 Project, Peter had originally planned to do something in the way of what he calls "Epic Silly Doggerel." But the whole point of the Project is for Peter to go where his creative heart takes him, and never mind planning: so humor stepped aside for a week when loss and memory led him to write, instead, a poignant celebration of another recently-departed old friend, author and essayist James D. Houston:
