WEEK #18 SAMPLE SECTION This is the beginning of what Peter wrote for the 18th week of the 52/50 Project. To get the rest of this piece (and all the other releases in this 52-part series) click here. For week #18 of the 52/50 Project, Peter tackled his third subscriber suggestion for the series. Asked to write on the issue of surviving great public tragedies, and all the many aspects of that experience, he found himself recalling and exploring a conversation he'd had with a young woman who had lived through the killing fields of Cambodia, when the Khmer Rouge executed over 200,000 people and set policies in placed which killed at least 1-2 million more through starvation and disease. The final result is a serious poem which showcases a side of Peter and his work that may surprise some people.
(End of sample portion. For the rest of this piece, and all the others, get The 52/50 Project.)
